Documents required for entry into the country:

Passport (or identity card + 2 passport photos): valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival.

At the time of booking, a clear and legible scan of each participant's document will be requested.

Entry visa: The visa can be obtained directly on entry into the country by presenting your passport, or a paper or electronic identity card valid for travel abroad with more than six months' remaining validity, together with the two passport-size photos required to obtain the visa from the local border authorities on arrival in the country (WITHOUT the photos the entry visa is NOT issued); you are therefore advised to obtain the photos before leaving Italy. It costs €25, payable on confirmation of the booking.

N.B. Please note that the Egyptian border authorities do NOT allow entry into the country to travellers holding an electronic identity card with an extension certificate (paper slip extending the validity of the document); likewise, a paper identity card whose validity has been renewed by means of a stamp on the back of the document is NO longer accepted. In such cases you are advised to use another type of document (passport) to avoid being turned back at the border.
