Documents required for entry into the country:

Passport: with at least 6 months' remaining validity from the date of arrival.

At the time of booking, a clear, legible scan of each participant's passport will be requested.

Entry visa: the visa application can be made online through the e-Visa procedure at: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html.

The visa is valid for 30 days from the date of entry into the country and allows two entries. It costs approximately 25 US dollars, payable by credit card at the end of the procedure. A first e-mail confirming the application will be sent to the address given on the form. A second confirmation e-mail, "VISA GRANTED", will arrive, again by e-mail, within 72 hours. You will then need to print the actual visa by going to "check your Visa Status" on the website: everything must be printed out and taken with you to the airport together with your passport.

To complete the application you will need to attach:

1. A scan of the passport information page (in colour, PDF format, max size 300 KB);
2. A scan of an original passport-size photo (in colour, JPEG format, max size 1 MB).

When filling in the form you will be asked to enter the name of your hotel (the first one you will be staying at is sufficient), together with the contact details of the local reference and of the tour operator, which should be copied and pasted as follows:

Arrival Card: the online e-Arrival Card form must be completed for entry into India, in addition to and not instead of the online visa.

Access portal: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/earrival/

The e-Arrival Card must be submitted within the five (5) days before your scheduled arrival in India.

Overview of the procedure:

1. Go to the official e-Arrival Card portal.
2. Fill in and submit the required details online.
3. Receive a preview of the submitted e-Arrival Card, which may be requested at immigration control at the airport.
