TRANSPORT SYSTEM: excellent
A modern transport system covering the whole country (train, bus, tram, taxi) makes it possible to reach any destination. Hiring cars, motorbikes, campervans and bikes is easy and convenient. Well connected to Italy and to all neighbouring countries. Boat trips are possible along the River Moselle.

The country offers a wide choice of accommodation of every kind, category and price. The international hotel classification (one to five stars) applies, and there are also farm stays, B&Bs, guesthouses, hostels, campsites and spa or wellness centres. There are numerous booking portals and websites.

HEALTH: the country's health situation is good. Local medical and hospital facilities are of a very high standard and medicines are readily available. Italian citizens on temporary visits who hold a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC/TEAM) receive the care provided by the local public health service.

CLIMATE: harsh winters with snowfall (especially in January and February), springs and summers with generally warm, sunny days. Rain is frequent throughout the year, though less so in the south of the country.
