It is not only the oldest continuously inhabited city in the western hemisphere but also the most populous metropolis in the world.

Day 1
ITALY – MEXICO CITY
Departure on scheduled KLM/Iberia/Air France flights to Mexico City – meals on board – evening arrival – transfer to the hotel – dinner at leisure - overnight stay.
Day 2
MEXICO CITY “the capital of Mexico”
Breakfast at the hotel – morning at leisure to rest, relax or explore on your own - tour leader at your disposal – lunch at leisure – in the afternoon visit of Mexico City with a guide (the historic centre of the city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Zócalo square, the Torre Latinoamericana, the Cathedral, the National Palace from the outside) - dinner at the hotel – evening at leisure – tour leader at your disposal – overnight stay.

MEXICO CITY – VIRGEN DE GUADALUPE & TEOTIHUACAN “UNESCO World Heritage Site”
Breakfast at the hotel – full-day excursion with a guide to the Sanctuary of the Virgen de Guadalupe, patron saint of Mexico and the largest pilgrimage centre in Latin America – followed by a visit to the extraordinary archaeological site of Teotihuacan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site – lunch at a restaurant – dinner at the hotel – evening at leisure – tour leader at your disposal – overnight stay.

MEXICO CITY – SUMIDERO CANYON – SAN CRISTÓBAL DE LAS CASAS

SAN CRISTÓBAL DE LAS CASAS – ZINACANTÁN – SAN JUAN CHAMULA – SAN CRISTÓBAL
Breakfast at the hotel – in the morning visit of the typical local market (one of the most important in the region) and of the Baroque Church of Santo Domingo - departure to visit the indigenous communities of Zinacantán and San Juan Chamula, where you can discover the authentic customs and traditions of the local inhabitants, still deeply attached to their heritage – lunch at a restaurant - return to San Cristóbal and free time for shopping and/or independent visits – dinner at the hotel – evening at leisure - tour leader at your disposal – overnight stay.

SAN CRISTÓBAL DE LAS CASAS “the colonial city” – AGUA AZUL – PALENQUE
Breakfast at the hotel – departure for Palenque - stop at the Agua Azul waterfalls deep in the jungle, with free time for an optional swim - lunch at a typical restaurant – continue to Palenque – dinner at the hotel – evening at leisure – tour leader at your disposal – overnight stay.

PALENQUE “the Maya city, UNESCO World Heritage Site” – CAMPECHE
Breakfast at the hotel – visit of the magnificent archaeological site of Palenque, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, one of the most fascinating Maya cities in Mexico, where the pyramids and temples rise among the dense canopy of trees, lit by the tropical sun that turns them cream-coloured - the city reached its apogee under the rule of King Pakal, who exploited its strategic position to make it a flourishing and important centre of trade between the Petén region, the Chiapas highlands and the Grijalva Valley, linked in part by the Usumacinta River, which at this point divides Mexico from Guatemala – departure for Campeche - lunch at a restaurant along the way – arrival in San Francisco de Campeche and visit of the historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, still partly surrounded by the hexagonal ring of walls that once protected it from pirate attacks – dinner at the hotel – evening at leisure – tour leader at your disposal – overnight stay.

CAMPECHE – UXMAL – MÉRIDA “the capital of Yucatán”
Breakfast at the hotel – departure along the “Ruta Puuc”, “Land of the Hills” in the Maya language, on which lies the archaeological site of Uxmal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, characterised by the Puuc architecture of the same name, one of the most harmonious and well-proportioned styles of the Maya world - lunch at a restaurant - continue to Mérida, the capital of the State of Yucatán, known as “the white city” - visit of the city, which still preserves the vestiges of its days of prosperity and European elegance inherited from Spanish and French rule - stroll through the streets of the historic centre, with a visit to the Plaza Mayor and the Casa de Montejo – dinner at the hotel – evening at leisure - tour leader at your disposal – overnight stay.

MÉRIDA–CHICHÉN ITZÁ “one of the seven wonders of the world, UNESCO World Heritage Site”–TULUM–CANCÚN
Breakfast at the hotel – departure for the Riviera Maya – visit of the archaeological site that symbolises Maya civilisation in the Yucatán Peninsula, Chichén Itzá, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the best known in the world and considered one of the 7 Wonders of the World – the site is divided into 3 groups (Central, North and South) and the visit includes the famous Castillo, a pyramid erected in honour of the god Kukulkan, the circular astronomical observatory, the Temple of the Warriors and the “Juego de la Pelota” ball court (a curious game of religious significance, played with the elbows, hips and knees) - lunch at a restaurant - followed by a visit to the archaeological site of Tulum (the ruins of an ancient Maya port city) - continue to Cancún– dinner at a typical restaurant – evening at leisure - tour leader at your disposal – overnight stay.

CANCÚN – MEXICO CITY
