Description
JAPAN IN WINTER: TRADITION, NATURE AND MODERNITY. A fascinating, comprehensive itinerary that crosses Japan at one of the most evocative times of the year, when winter is lit up by the first blossoms and offers landscapes of extraordinary beauty. This journey leads you to discover the country's main cities and iconic places, offering a perfect balance of culture, nature and innovation. It begins in Osaka, a dynamic, modern metropolis where urban vitality finds expression in contemporary architecture and iconic districts such as Dotonbori, the beating heart of the nightlife. From here you reach Kyoto, the cradle of Japanese tradition, where temples, shrines and ancient streets tell of a past that is still very much alive. The visits take in emblematic places such as the Kiyomizu Temple, the characteristic historic lanes and the traditional quarters, offering an authentic glimpse into the soul of Japan. The journey continues with a unique experience on Mount Hiei, where an overnight stay in a monastery allows you to connect with the country's spiritual dimension, enjoying an intimate, evocative atmosphere immersed in nature. The following stops include Nara, the first imperial capital, with its monumental temples and the famous park populated by deer, the city's symbol. Nor is there any shortage of iconic landscapes at the foot of Mount Fuji, among traditional villages, lakes and some of the most photographed views in the world. The journey ends in Tokyo, one of the most fascinating and surprising metropolises on the planet, where modernity and tradition coexist in perfect harmony among futuristic skyscrapers, Shinto shrines and fashionable districts. A rich, well-structured tour designed to offer a complete picture of Japan, with carefully chosen services, guided tours and an organisation attentive to every detail, to guarantee an engaging, worry-free travel experience.
A JOURNEY INTO THE SOUL OF JAPAN: THE MONASTERY EXPERIENCE ON MOUNT HIEI. This itinerary stands out for a rare and profoundly authentic experience: the stay at a monastery on Mount Hiei, a moment that represents the most intense and meaningful heart of the whole journey. It is not simply a matter of visiting Japan, but of connecting with its most spiritual and intimate dimension, living for one night by the slow, contemplative rhythm of the monastic tradition. Far from the lights of the big cities, immersed in the silence of the woods that enfold the Enryakuji complex, an experience opens up that can turn the journey into something deeper. Here guests have the opportunity to take part in cultural and spiritual activities led by the monks: moments of candlelit meditation, traditional calligraphy practice, discovering the art of incense and walks along paths immersed in nature. Every gesture, every rite, every silence helps to create a suspended atmosphere, outside time. The overnight stay itself becomes an integral part of the experience: waking in a sacred place, watching the stillness of the morning among the mountains and sensing the harmony between man and nature is a rare privilege that leaves a deep mark on the traveller's memory. It is a moment of pause and reflection that both contrasts with and completes the dynamism of the tour's urban stops. Around this central experience unfolds a rich and varied itinerary: from the traditional atmospheres of Kyoto to the iconic views of Mount Fuji and the vibrant energy of Tokyo. Yet it is the time spent on Mount Hiei that gives the journey its unique value, turning it into a journey that is not only geographical but also inward. A tour designed for those seeking something more than simple discovery: a chance to experience Japan authentically, letting yourself be drawn in by its spirituality, its aesthetics and its profound capacity to inspire.
