Breakfast at the hotel – full day devoted to a guided visit of the city (La Candelaria, in the historic centre, Plaza Bolívar with the Cathedral, the Palace of Justice and the Capilla del Sagrario, the Botero Museum – interior – (which displays works by Fernando Botero and pieces from his personal collection, including works by Picasso, Renoir, Dalí, Matisse, Monet and Giacometti), the Gold Museum, and the Sanctuary of Monserrate, the symbol of Bogotá – the cable car takes you 500 metres above Bogotá to admire the incredible

panorama of the city and the Andes) – lunch in a typical restaurant – dinner at the hotel - evening at leisure – tour leader on hand - overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – leaving Bogotá, we head north towards Zipaquirá, travelling across the Bogotá savannah - lunch in a typical restaurant - in the afternoon we reach the imposing Salt Cathedral, a true feat of engineering - the name Zipaquirá refers to the Zipa, the chief of the Muisca tribe who ruled over these rich salt mines – after 2 hours we reach Villa de Leyva, one of the colonial pearls of the region – check-in at the hotel and time at leisure - dinner in a restaurant – after dinner, a stroll with the tour leader - overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – departure for Bogotá – stop and visit to Ráquira (a renowned Colombian town specialising in fine handmade ceramics), Sutamarchán (famous for its gastronomy) and Tinjacá (known for its tagua, or palm-seed, handicrafts) - lunch in a restaurant – evening arrival in Bogotá - dinner in a restaurant - evening at leisure – tour leader on hand - overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – transfer to the airport – departure on a scheduled flight to Neiva – on arrival, transfer to San Agustín (approx. 6 hours) – lunch at leisure - dinner in a restaurant – evening at leisure - tour leader on hand - overnight stay.

Breakfast – in the morning, guided visit to the San Agustín Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest complex of religious monuments in South America – lunch at leisure – departure for San José de Isnos and visit to the archaeological area, home to some of the largest monoliths discovered to date – return to San Agustín – dinner in a restaurant – evening at leisure – tour leader on hand - overnight stay.

Breakfast – transfer from San Agustín to Popayán - on arrival, check-in at the hotel - lunch at leisure – in the afternoon, visit to the city's historic centre (Parque Caldas, the Torre del Reloj clock tower, the Puente del Humilladero, the Morro de Tulcán, the churches of Santo Domingo and San Francisco, the Pantheon, the Museum of Religious Art and the Casa Museo Mosquera) - dinner in a restaurant – evening at leisure – tour leader on hand - overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – in the morning, departure for the village of Silvia – guided visit to the town's historic centre, with its colonial-style buildings and the Clock Tower, the symbol of the town - lunch in a typical restaurant - return to Popayán airport – departure on a scheduled flight to Cartagena - evening arrival - dinner at leisure - transfer to the hotel - overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – full day devoted to a guided visit of Cartagena, a UNESCO World Heritage city (the historic centre with Parque Bolívar and the adjacent Gold Museum, with its pre-Hispanic archaeological finds, the Palace of the Inquisition, the Church of Santo Domingo, the Cathedral and the Museo de las Fortificaciones, and San Felipe Castle, an imposing fortress built in 1657 during the Spanish colonial period to defend against English and French attacks) - lunch in a typical restaurant - dinner in a restaurant – evening at leisure - tour leader on hand – overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – full day devoted to discovering the area north of Cartagena, La Boquilla - after a road transfer of around 30 minutes, we venture by canoe into the mangrove forest - while paddling you can spot various species of birds and crabs - heading upriver, we reach the village where lunch is served and where we learn about the customs and traditions of the fishermen who live in the area - dinner at the hotel/restaurant – after dinner Cartagena by night, a stroll with the tour leader - overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – day devoted to discovering the Rosario Islands. Fine white sand and turquoise-blue sea for a day in true “Caribbean style” – lunch during the excursion - return to the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel - departure for Mompox (a journey of around 5 hours) – along the way we pass through the town of San Juan Nepomuceno and continue to Carmen de Bolívar before reaching the port of Magangué, where we board a ferry across the Magdalena River, enjoying the spectacular scenery over some 45 minutes - onward by road to Mompox (a magical place where time seems to have stood still) – lunch at leisure - check-in at the hotel - afternoon at leisure to relax - return to the hotel – dinner at the hotel/restaurant – evening at leisure - tour leader on hand - overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – full day devoted to a guided visit of Santa Cruz de Mompox (a town of purely colonial architecture, whose historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a perfect blend of Baroque and Moorish styles - the Calle Real del Medio with its typical white houses, the stately homes with their imposing wooden doors and locks and knockers in differing styles, the flower-decked wooden balconies, the picturesque "Calle de la Albarrada" along the river, and the Central Cemetery, perhaps the most interesting and evocative place to visit) - lunch at leisure - return to the hotel and free time to relax – dinner in a restaurant – evening at leisure - tour leader on hand - overnight stay.
