Description
Grand Tour of Egypt, an exclusive 5-star Guiness product.
A magnificent and comprehensive tour, discovering one of the most fascinating countries in the world, an object of study and desire from our earliest years. Alongside the classic itineraries are unusual and exciting places, such as the site of Dendera and above all the city of Alexandria, born of the dream and vision of the famous Macedonian commander. Although few traces remain of this metropolis on the Mediterranean, in its streets and squares you can still sense the allure of myth and legend, combined with the aura of sanctity and power of its ancient monuments, among them the celebrated lighthouse and the library, the largest and richest of antiquity. But the surprises and emotions do not end there: to complete the picture, a fantastic excursion to Abu Simbel, to be visited in all its majesty with no supplement to pay locally. What is more, an evocative Sound and Light show at the Pyramids will be the perfect way to seal a travel experience that is nothing short of memorable. Cruising the Nile will let you capture wonderful shades of colour, as at dawn and dusk, when the sunlight gilds the riverbanks and the surrounding fields. Only then will you sense the secret and the miracle of the vitality of a civilisation thousands of years old, which still has the power to enthral us. The Nile, the true soul of Egypt and the longest river in Africa, flows through the country bestowing fertility and life, as it has done for more than three millennia. The service on board the ship, offering the utmost comfort and quality, is 5-star and lets you relax and recover after the rich and rewarding daily excursions. Amid enigmatic façades, imposing columns, mysterious sphinxes and structures immersed in sand dunes that still question us from their mystery, ancient Egypt is not just a journey but a true adventure of the mind and heart. Halfway between Africa and Asia, culturally close to the melting pot of the Middle East, this destination truly has everything to enchant the traveller. That is why this is one of the journeys of a lifetime, for everyone, lovers of history and beyond: an itinerary designed for “true travellers”.
