Grand Tour of South Africa 2026-27

Departure on Emirates scheduled flights to Cape Town - meals on board – overnight flight.

Breakfast at the hotel - full-day excursion with guide – visit to the Cape Peninsula, Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope, entering the nature reserve where the local flora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is still well preserved, along with baboons and antelopes – mini-cruise to Seal Island - in the afternoon we continue with a visit to Boulders Beach in Simon’s Town, home to a large colony of penguins (some years ago a small group arrived on this little beach and, after some initial difficulties settling in, it grew into a fully fledged colony that is protected today) - lunch in a restaurant – in the evening return to the hotel along the scenic Chapman’s Peak Drive, with stops along the way to enjoy the wonderful views – dinner in a restaurant - evening at leisure – tour leader on hand – overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – full day devoted to a guided visit to the Winelands, between the historic towns of Paarl and Stellenbosch, the country’s second-oldest Boer settlement, discovering South Africa’s renowned vineyards with stops to taste the various wines produced - lunch at a wine estate – dinner in a restaurant – evening at leisure - tour leader on hand – overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – departure for Hermanus, a town overlooking Walker Bay on the country’s southern coast - check-in at the hotel – lunch in a restaurant – in the afternoon cruise out into the bay in search of southern right whales and other cetaceans - dinner in a restaurant – evening at leisure - tour leader on hand – overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – in the morning transfer to Cape Town airport and departure on a scheduled flight to Durban - lunch at leisure – continuation to Hluhluwe - dinner at the hotel – evening at leisure - tour leader on hand – overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – full day devoted to a visit to Hluhluwe-Imfolozi National Park – Africa’s oldest nature reserve, established in 1895 – a park of lagoons, islets, estuaries and tropical forests close to the sea, the third-largest park in South Africa and a UNESCO World Heritage Site; visit to Duma Zulu, the largest cultural village in South Africa - lunch at the lodge - dinner at the lodge – evening at leisure - tour leader on hand – overnight stay.

Breakfast at the lodge – in the morning boat trip on Lake St Lucia to admire the highest concentration of hippos, crocodiles, flamingos and white rhinos, along with astonishing vegetation - lunch in a restaurant - in the afternoon visit to a big-cat rehabilitation centre - dinner at the lodge – evening at leisure - tour leader on hand – overnight stay.

Breakfast at the lodge - departure for eSwatini, formerly known as Swaziland, the smallest kingdom in the southern hemisphere, a land of harmonious beauty, rich in parks and nature reserves and ideally seen as the meeting place of ancient Africa and modern Africa - lunch in a restaurant – afternoon at leisure to relax or for individual activities – dinner at the lodge – evening at leisure - tour leader on hand – overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – departure for Kruger National Park, South Africa’s largest nature reserve, which protects 6 different ecosystems with different types of vegetation and an extremely high density of wildlife, including the famous Big 5 – lunch at leisure - evening arrival in Kruger National Park - check-in at the lodge – dinner at the lodge – evening at leisure - tour leader on hand – overnight stay.

Breakfast at the lodge – full day devoted to a safari inside Kruger National Park in search of the “Big Five”, the 5 largest animals characteristic of the savannah and of South Africa: elephant, buffalo, rhinoceros, lion and leopard - buffet lunch during the safari - dinner at the lodge – evening at leisure - tour leader on hand – overnight stay.

Breakfast at the lodge – full day devoted to a safari inside Kruger National Park in search of the “Big Five”, the 5 largest animals characteristic of the savannah and of South Africa: elephant, buffalo, rhinoceros, lion and leopard - buffet lunch during the safari - dinner at the lodge – evening at leisure - tour leader on hand – overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – departure along the legendary Panorama Route, skirting South Africa’s forested areas and many unique natural sites – visit to the Blyde River Canyon, one of the largest in the world at 26 km long and over 800 metres deep, offering a striking panorama between the Blyde and Olifants rivers, mighty waterfalls and the famous Bourke’s Luck Potholes, of ancient sandstone origin - lunch in a restaurant along the way – in the evening check-in at the hotel in Johannesburg - dinner at the hotel – overnight stay.
