Arrival in Bangkok – transfer to the hotel - free time - dinner in a typical restaurant – evening at leisure – tour leader on hand – overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – full-day excursion with guide – visit to the Grand Palace complex, once the official residence of the royal family, which includes the Temple of the Emerald Buddha with its gardens and, at its heart, the fabulous image of the Buddha carved from a single piece of jade - Wat Traimit, the Temple of the Golden Buddha, a fine example of Sukhothai art - passing through Chinatown we reach Wat Pho, the Temple of the Reclining Buddha -the largest and oldest in the city-, then crossing the Chao Phraya River by boat we arrive at Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn – lunch in a restaurant – typical dinner aboard a river boat along the banks of the Chao Phraya, admiring the illuminated temples – afterwards return to the hotel with a stroll through the streets of Chinatown – overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – full-day excursion with guide – visit to the Damnoen Saduak floating market, around 110 km from Bangkok, crossing salt pans and rice paddies to reach the pier and board a rowing boat (the market is made up of Thai-style canoes laden with succulent, colourful fruit, vegetables, sweets and meats) – visit to the characteristic railway market (the fresh-produce market that is moved aside as the train passes) in the neighbouring town of Maeklong - continuation to one of the country’s oldest cities and an important Buddhist centre, Nakhon Pathom, and visit to the Buddhist monument Phra Pathom Chedi –lunch in a restaurant – buffet dinner in a rooftop restaurant - after dinner, Bangkok by night: a stroll with the tour leader and private coach – overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – full-day excursion with guide – departure northwards for the ancient capital and UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ayutthaya (visit to the ruined temples and palaces) - along the way, visits to the temples of Wat Chai Wattanaram, Wat Sri Sanphet and Wat Mongkhon Bophit - free time to browse the many craft stalls – lunch in a typical restaurant - continuation to Phitsanulok, visit to the Royal Temple of Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat, dating from the 14th century, with the renowned Golden Buddha, considered the most beautiful image of the Buddha in all Thailand – evening arrival in Sukhothai - dinner at the hotel - evening at leisure – tour leader on hand – overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – in the morning guided visit to Sukhothai, the ancient capital of Thailand and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you can admire the beautiful standing Buddha statues and the ruins of temples and monasteries - tour by bicycle or electric tram of the historical park with the ruins of the temples of Wat Mahathat, Wat Sa Sri and Wat Sri Sawai – visit to Wat Sri Chum, a temple with beautiful Burmese art – departure towards Phrae, one of Thailand’s oldest cities – photo stop along the way at the magnificent Wat Phra That Suthon Mongkhon Khiri - lunch in a typical restaurant - visit to Phrae and in particular the Baan Thung Hong district, famous for producing the blue garments worn by the villagers throughout the North – continuation to Phayao province – arrival in Chiang Rai - dinner at the hotel – after dinner, Chiang Rai by night: a stroll with the tour leader to the night market and the Clock Tower – overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – departure for the Golden Triangle, the famous spot where Thailand meets Laos and Myanmar on the legendary Mekong River, the longest in South-East Asia – stop at the viewpoint where the rivers meet and visit to the Opium Museum – return to Chiang Rai and visit to the temple of Wat Rong Suea Ten, known as the Blue Temple – stop at the temple of Wat Rong Khun, known as the White Temple, one of the most famous temples in Thailand - lunch in a restaurant - departure for Chiang Mai – in the afternoon visit to the main temples within the old city walls, the elegant Wat Phra Singh and Wat Chedi Luang, considered the great monument of Chiang Mai – dinner at the hotel – after dinner, Chiang Mai by night: a stroll with the tour leader – overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – half-day excursion with guide to the Elephant Sanctuary (in an unspoilt setting, the display of strength and agility by these colossal animals under the command of their “mahouts” gives visitors a delightful opportunity to spend time with the elephants in their natural home, as well as an insight into their history and behaviour - walk through the sanctuary, where the elephants roam free, with the chance to bathe with them in a mud pool and give them a cosmetic mud treatment that is good for their skin – continuation to the orchid and butterfly farm - lunch at the farm – in the afternoon visit to the San Kamphaeng district, the heart of the cottage silk and cotton industries, and visit to Bor Sang (the umbrella village, where umbrellas are made from delicate Thai paper and decorated by hand) – dinner at the hotel – after dinner, Chiang Mai by night: a stroll with the tour leader – overnight stay.
