Arrival in Bangkok – transfer to the hotel - free time - dinner in a traditional restaurant – evening at leisure – tour leader on hand – overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – full-day excursion with a local guide – visit to the Grand Palace complex, once the official residence of the royal family, which includes the Temple of the Emerald Buddha with its gardens and, at its centre, the fabulous image of the Buddha carved from a single piece of jade - Wat Traimit, the Temple of the Golden Buddha, a fine example of Sukhothai art - passing through Chinatown we reach Wat Pho, the Temple of the Reclining Buddha -the largest and oldest in the city- and then, crossing the Chao Phraya River by boat, we arrive at Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn – lunch in a restaurant – traditional dinner aboard a river boat along the banks of the Chao Phraya, admiring the illuminated temples – afterwards return to the hotel with a stroll through the streets of Chinatown – overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – full-day excursion with a local guide – visit to the Damnoen Saduak floating market, around 110 km from Bangkok, travelling through salt pans and rice paddies to reach the pier and board a rowing boat (the market is made up of Thai-style canoes laden with succulent, colourful fruit, vegetables, sweets and meats) – visit to the characteristic railway market (the fresh-produce market that is moved aside as the train passes) in the neighbouring town of Maeklong - continue to one of the country’s oldest cities and an important Buddhist centre, Nakhon Pathom, and visit to the Buddhist monument Phra Pathom Chedi –lunch in a restaurant – buffet dinner in a rooftop restaurant - after dinner Bangkok by night, tour with the tour leader by private coach – overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – full-day excursion with a local guide – departure northwards for the ancient capital and UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ayutthaya (visit to the ruined temples and palaces) - along the way visit to the temples of Wat Chai Wattanaram, Wat Sri Sanphet and Wat Mongkhon Bophit - free time to browse the many handicraft stalls – lunch in a traditional restaurant - continue to Phitsanulok and visit to the Royal Temple of Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat, dating from the 14th century, with the renowned Golden Buddha, considered the most beautiful image of the Buddha in all Thailand – evening arrival in Sukhothai - dinner at the hotel - evening at leisure – tour leader on hand – overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – in the morning visit with a local guide of Sukhothai, the ancient capital of Thailand and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where we admire the beautiful standing Buddha statues, the ruins of temples and monasteries, the historical park with the ruins of Wat Mahathat, and the temples of Wat Sa Si, Wat Si Sawai and Wat Si Chum – lunch in a traditional restaurant – in the afternoon continue to Chiang Mai, where we visit the most important temple in the north of the country, Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, which holds sacred relics of the Buddha (reached by a climb of more than 300 steps flanked by giant representations of Naga, mythological figures half man and half serpent); from here there is a breathtaking panoramic view of the city - dinner at the hotel – evening at leisure – tour leader on hand – overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – in the morning visit with a local guide to the San Kamphaeng district, the heart of the cottage silk and cotton industries, and to Bo Sang (the umbrella village, where umbrellas are made from delicate Thai paper and decorated by hand) - lunch at leisure – transfer to the airport - departure on a scheduled flight to Phuket – transfer to the hotel on arrival – dinner at the hotel - evening at leisure – tour leader on hand – overnight stay.
