Why this tour?
- to cross 6 countries in the heart of Europe
- to get to know the Rhine Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
- to discover Strasbourg, capital of Alsace
Description
A fantastic tour of Europe through 6 countries. A mix of cultures, styles, cuisines and languages. We will visit Amsterdam (the city of canals, bicycles, entertainment and social tolerance), Brussels (capital of Belgium and seat of the European Union, a city that is cultured, refined, gourmet, regal, welcoming, cosmopolitan and professional), North Holland, "Flanders" with its 3 jewel cities Bruges, Ghent and Antwerp, each more beautiful than the last, and Strasbourg (seat of the European Parliament and a charming city in the heart of Alsace).
The highlight: the cruise on the Rhine, which, at the time indicated, normally takes place aboard the historic paddle steamer "Goethe".
Antwerp, elegance personified, the queen of diamonds. It is impossible to resist the charm of Antwerp’s architecture. On your arrival you will be greeted by a magnificent central station, then you can explore buildings such as the famous MAS and admire medieval palaces such as the impressive town hall and the mansions overlooking the main square. In this city, the brand-new Port House by Zaha Hadid, the contemporary building that houses the law courts and the gems of Art Nouveau also contribute to the architectural eclecticism. During your visit you will also be enchanted by the many international boutiques that make Antwerp the shopping destination par excellence in Flanders.
None of this is surprising: as early as the 16th century Antwerp was one of the richest cities in Europe. In the 17th century its illustrious citizens included two masters of the Flemish Baroque, Peter Paul Rubens and Anthony Van Dyck. In recent years new talents and new arts have emerged, including fashion.
