Description
A journey that takes in not only Amsterdam (the city of canals, bicycles, fun and social tolerance) and Brussels (capital of Belgium and seat of the European Union, a cultured, refined, gourmet, regal, welcoming, cosmopolitan and businesslike city), but also the green landscape of North Holland with its windmills, the typical villages of Marken and Volendam and one of the greatest feats of modern engineering - the Great Dyke - which dammed the North Sea to reclaim precious strips of land for agriculture and rich cattle farming. This is how the "polders" came into being: vast areas within which, with the help of embankments and dykes, the sea was trapped and then drained away by a complex system of windmills. "Flanders" leaves you speechless, with 3 jewel-like cities, Bruges, Ghent and Antwerp, each more beautiful than the last. Perhaps the best definition we can give it is "the art of living". Finally, a visit to the city of Rotterdam, which will leave you with a wonderful memory of this journey.
