Description
An epic journey through fjords, wild nature and the Midnight Sun. Arctic Norway is a land of breathtaking contrasts, where nature reveals itself in all its power and beauty. Our “Lofoten Islands, Vesterålen Islands & North Cape” tour is a 9-day itinerary designed to offer total immersion in scenery that seems to come straight out of a dream. The journey begins in Bodø and takes us straight to the beating heart of the Arctic: the iconic Lofoten Islands. Here, steep mountains plunge sheer into the ocean, creating a surreal and unforgettable landscape, enriched by small, picturesque fishing villages. Continuing on, we reach the Vesterålen Islands, home of great sea adventures. In Andenes we will experience the unique thrill of the whale-watching safari, a close encounter with the majestic giants of the sea. This experience is skilfully paired with a cultural visit to the Inga Sami Siida farm to discover the traditions of the Sami people. The high point of the tour is the arrival at North Cape. We will spend the evening after dinner at the observatory to admire, in a moment of pure magic, the celebrated phenomenon of the Midnight Sun. With carefully planned logistics that include all the necessary ferry crossings, accommodation in 3/4-star hotels and the assistance of a tour leader from Italy, this tour is the perfect formula for experiencing Arctic Norway with professionalism, comfort and a touch of exclusivity.
Marine emotions and Arctic culture: the beating heart of the Great North. The Vesterålen Islands are the authentic soul of the Great North, a place where history, indigenous culture and marine wildlife meet. This part of the tour is devoted to the deepest and most unforgettable experiences of your journey. The central moment is the celebrated whale-watching safari departing from Andenes. Before setting sail aboard a traditional boat, a visit of the Whale Museum is planned, which will deepen your knowledge of the lives of these magnificent creatures. The excursion is a thrilling and respectful encounter with the marine environment, a true privilege for nature lovers. The experience continues with an important cultural insight. We will go to the Inga Sami Siida farm for a direct immersion in the traditions of the Sami people, Europe’s only indigenous people. This visit offers an authentic perspective on their life, their history and their deep connection with the Arctic land. The Vesterålen Islands offer a perfect balance between natural adrenaline and cultural discovery, making this stage essential for anyone wanting a journey that goes beyond mere scenery.
