Breakfast at the hotel - in the morning, visit of the Borromean Islands by private motorboat with a guide (Isola Bella with the splendid Borromeo Palace and its marvellous Italian garden, set on ten terraces descending towards the lake - Isola dei Pescatori with its ancient alleyways and evocative views) – lunch at leisure - in the afternoon, visit with a guide of Orta San Giulio on Lake Orta and transfer by boat to the Island of San Giulio (a small town overlooking Lake Orta which also includes a splendid islet in the middle of the lake; the centre of the village is full of narrow lanes and characteristic views, at its heart the beautiful Piazza Motta, facing the lake and surrounded by splendid arcaded historic buildings including the Palazzo della Comunità della Riviera di San Giulio, dating from the end of the 16th century; on the islet, visit of the Romanesque basilica set amid greenery) – tasting of local specialities - return to the hotel in the evening - dinner at the hotel - overnight stay.
