Breakfast at the hotel – departure for Colonia del Sacramento, the oldest city in Uruguay - visit of the city with a guide (a colonial-style town whose historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, follows the irregular Portuguese urban layout, with little cobbled streets and beautiful colourful colonial houses, the Portón de Campo, the fortified walls, Plaza Mayor 25 de Agosto and Plaza de Armas, the Basilica of the Holy Sacrament) – lunch at leisure – in the afternoon, transfer by fast ferry to Buenos Aires (crossing time 1 hour 15 minutes) – arrival in Buenos Aires – transfer to the hotel - dinner at the hotel - evening at leisure – tour leader on hand – overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – full-day guided excursion to Tigre and the Paraná Delta - departure towards the north of the city through the residential districts, passing in front of the Quinta Presidencial de Olivos, the official residence of the President of Argentina, located outside the city of Buenos Aires – the next destination is San Isidro, an elegant residential area, whose visit begins with its neo-Gothic cathedral, which forms the historic heart of the town - all around you can admire beautiful colonial and Italian-style houses, its cobbled streets and the old square – continuation to Tigre, a delightful district set at the mouth of the Paraná Delta - the area was first colonised in 1580, but it was not until the end of the 18th century that a small population settled here, made up mainly of smugglers who took advantage of the labyrinth of streams and islets to hide and bring goods into the country, thereby evading customs duties – the boat excursion in the delta lets you admire the old villas that contrast with today’s wooden stilt houses, yacht clubs and rowing clubs, and so get to know all the characteristics of a community that lives in close contact with the river - the delta is made up of many small islets covered in lush subtropical vegetation and criss-crossed by canals and streams – lunch in a traditional restaurant - in the evening, return to the hotel in Buenos Aires – dinner at the hotel – tour leader on hand – overnight stay.
