Grand Tour of Vietnam 2026-27

Departure on Emirates scheduled flights to Hanoi - meals on board – overnight flight.

Arrival in Hanoi – transfer to the hotel – dinner at the hotel/restaurant - evening at leisure – tour leader on hand – overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – visit to the city of Hanoi (Tran Quoc Pagoda, the Temple of Literature, once Vietnam’s first university) – cooking class experience (we will explore Hanoi’s market in an engaging blend of flavours, lights, voices and colours, and then, in small groups accompanied by a chef and his assistants, prepare some traditional dishes) – lunch featuring the dishes we have prepared and other typical courses - in the afternoon visit to the Ethnology Museum and a walk to discover the daily life of the city, sampling some local foods - we continue with a fun ride by electric van or rickshaw around Hoan Kiem Lake and through the quarter of the 36 trades - visit to Ngoc Son Temple, the famous tube houses over a hundred metres long and the pagodas - dinner at the hotel/restaurant – evening at leisure – tour leader on hand – overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – departure for the province of Ninh Binh - arrival and transfer to the Tam Coc pier –literally “three caves”-, where aboard small rowing boats we spend around 90 minutes passing through rice fields and the spectacular scenery of rocky peaks, amid canals and vegetation - lunch in a restaurant - in the afternoon we continue by boat back to the pier – continuation to visit the Bich Dong Pagoda and then the Temple of the Dinh and Le kings of the Dai Co Viet Kingdom, in the 10th and 11th centuries - dinner at the hotel – evening at leisure – tour leader on hand – overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – departure for Halong - immediate boarding for a 20-hour cruise on Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, aboard a splendid wooden junk - lunch and dinner will be served on board and will feature delicious fresh seafood - overnight stay aboard the junk.

Breakfast on board – in the morning we continue exploring the many attractions of Halong Bay – brunch on board - return to the harbour and disembarkation - in the afternoon transfer to Hanoi airport, crossing expanses of rice paddies along the Red River delta – departure for Da Nang on a scheduled flight– on arrival transfer to the hotel in Hoi An - dinner at the hotel – evening at leisure – tour leader on hand – overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – in the morning visit to the Cham temple complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site dating from the 4th to 13th centuries of the Cham Kingdom – return to Hoi An - typical lunch in a restaurant with a tasting of the village speciality – afternoon at leisure for shopping or individual activities - tour leader on hand - dinner at leisure in one of the typical little restaurants along the river - evening at leisure – tour leader on hand – overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – visit to the town of Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site - a stroll through the narrow streets of the town, discovering the Chinese houses dating back more than two centuries, the Japanese bridge, the Chinese temple and the Tan Ky house – lunch in a restaurant - in the afternoon visit to the city of Hue, a UNESCO World Heritage Site (rickshaw ride along the road that follows the river as far as the Thien Mu Pagoda, with a stop to visit a house with a typical garden, built according to the ancient rules of geomancy: you will be enveloped in a pleasant sense of serenity and peace - visit to the pagoda - dinner at the hotel – evening at leisure – tour leader on hand – overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – in the morning visit to the Mausoleum of Minh Mang and the Imperial Citadel – lunch in a typical restaurant – in the afternoon transfer to the airport – departure on a scheduled flight to Ho Chi Minh City – transfer to the hotel – dinner at the hotel – evening at leisure – tour leader on hand – overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – visit to the War Museum - departure for My Tho, a small town on the banks of one of the main branches of the river, from where we board a boat for a cruise on the Mekong – visit to the Vinh Trang Pagoda - sailing along the river past 4 islands – stop at Unicorn Island and visit to a fruit plantation – lunch in a restaurant – evening return to Ho Chi Minh City - free time for shopping – dinner in a Skybar a stone’s throw from the centre, a beautiful setting for a magical evening with a breathtaking view over the whole city - overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – in the morning visit to Saigon (the Cathedral, the Post Office, the Chinese temple of the Jade Buddha) - departure for Cu Chi – visit to the underground village of Ben Duoc in Cu Chi, a vast network of underground galleries and narrow tunnels dug by the Viet Minh in the war against the French and later by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War against the Americans – the network lies 3–4 metres underground and runs for 200 kilometres, well organised with meeting rooms and infirmaries – today it is considered one of the greatest historic sites of the Vietnam War - lunch in a restaurant – transfer to the airport – departure on an Emirates scheduled flight for the journey home – meals on board – overnight flight.
